Ko Lipe in Satun province is an Island paradise in the southern Andaman Sea. Ko Lipe offers glistening water and a rich abundance of coral reefs, so it became a popular spot for snorkeling to admire the spectacular world under the sea.
The prominent features of Ko Lipe are natural coral reefs, the beauty of a vast open bay, and a powdered-sand beach. Ao Pattaya is a beautiful bay in a curved shape with a fine white beach. Within a 15-minute walk, you can connect to another beach of the island such as Hat Chao Le or Chao Le Beach.
Ko Lipe (เกาะหลีเป๊ะ), a popular Destination of both Thais and foreigners. The Island provides an Accommodation service by private operators. The highlights include reefs around the island, beautiful bay coastline, soft powder-like sandy Beach, especially, the stunning beauty of Ao Pattaya, which embodies curvy, white powdery sandy beach and Hat Chao Le. Both beaches are reachable in about a 15-minute walk.
During the festive time, the villagers will build a boat from Rakam wood and perform a ceremony to float the boat, according to their belief in the prediction of their fishing. They will do this celebration twice a year in May and November.
Getting to Ko Lipe
- Hop on a speed Boat at Pak Bara pier, Satun province
- By plane – fly to Hat Yai Airport before 1 pm., then get on a van to Pak Bara pier and hop on a speed boat to Ko Lipe. The admission fee to the national park is THB 40.
